There is a lot involved in this year's December meeting so I'm going to direct you to the Facebook page instead of telling you all about it here. Join us for a Polar Express themed holiday party! We will be at Woods Memorial Presbyterian Church. The address is 611 Baltimore Annapolis Blvd., Severna Park, Maryland 21146. Come meet Santa and get your picture taken with him, eat food and have fun!

This year we will be catering our family dinner. We ask each family contributes a drink or desert. This year we will be collecting donations of personal care items for a local shelter for abused teens. There will be small gift bags for our children decorate to send along with our donations. Please RSVP and comment on the Facebook event with your expected number of family members by 11/13/18 as we will be providing dinner we will need to plan accordingly. Hey all please join us for this month's meeting at Clay Bakers of Annapolis. We will be painting something functional that can be used for special occasions and the cost per person will be approximately $15-20. If you wish to attend, but not paint, that is also ok. We do, however, really need 20 people for this event who are painting, so please if you RSVP, do your best to be there and specify if you will be painting. We can BYOB and the club will be getting pizza and snacks for this event. Hope to see you then! Ok Yoga is for everyone really.Just my spoof on the fact that it's close to Valentines Day. Please join us Monday the 19th with your yoga pants, mats, socks and anything else you would like to bring. This meeting is meant to be relaxing with a touch of toning to go along. Remember you can just watch, bring your babies for others to hold, or just socialize and be baby free for a few hours. We all would love to get more sleep, right!?!?! Join us for a fun and informative evening with Tara Persaud, founder and owner of Little Miracles Sleep Consulting. Tara will gear her presentation to our specific needs and answer our questions. The club will provide light appetizers, but feel free to purchase your own food and drinks. This will be our first meeting after the long summer break; therefore, we will be using this time to kick back and relax, and catch up with one another after the adventures of summer break with the kiddos! We are switching it up for some more fun and relaxation this month with a pub and paint at Union Jacks. We will pre-order all tickets at around $15 a person. Feel free to invite friends too but there is a cap of 34. All payments can be made via cash/check directly to AMOM. She is the author of How To Talk to Your Kids About Your Divorce and 52 Emails To Transform Your Marriage. She will have copies of her books available for purchase at the meeting(cash or check). Let's party in our PJs! Please join us for a fun, festive get-together wearing your favorite holiday pajamas...or really whatever you're comfortable in! We'll provide some pasta dishes and salad, and ask everyone to bring a dish to share. Sign-up HERE.

This month, we are going to be splitting up into small groups for discussion topics. We have done this in the past and this a great way to meet new people in the club and feel connected. This yearly event occurs every February to welcome new Moms to the Annapolis Chapter of the Mother of Multiples. This year’s theme is enjoyment and relaxation — two favorite words of every new Mom! So come on out and take a break with some awesome company!

This month Kelly Wojtowicz, OB nurse and group fitness director of the YMCA in Arnold, will be joining us to lead us in some Zumba. We will be meeting at the St. Martins church on Benfield Rd in Severna Park on January 18th at 7pm. Please come in your comfy clothes and shoes for a dancing/fun time. I have been taking both HIIT and Zumba classes with Kelly for a long time and she is quite the motivating and empowering fitness instructor and I always have a good time in her Zumba classes. She always has ALL ages and fitness levels in her Zumba class so don't hesitate to try it out. RSVP on Big Tent.

It's time for our December meeting. What could be more fun than celebrating the upcoming holidays with fellow AMOMs? This year we will be continuing the tradition with the white elephant gift exchange. So please bring a wrapped “gift” for the exchange. I’m hoping to see some classic re-gifts from last year. If you are unsure of what a white elephant gift exchange is, please don’t hesitate to ask. We will also be holding an ugly holiday sweater contest, with a prize for the winner. The club will provide some holiday ham and turkey. We ask that everyone bring something to share. Those with GG twins bring fruit/cheese/appetizer; BB twins bring dessert; B/G twins bring side-dish; and triplets/quads bring dinner rolls. Most importantly, this party will be BYOB so bring your favorite festive brew, wine, or cocktail. We are looking forward to a fun night of relaxation, laughter, and great conversations. This month AMOM member, Jennifer Blackburn Chasse, will be discussing meal planning with us. We will be doing a recipe swap and the rumor has it that there will be a prize for the person that shares the most delicious recipes. This month, our guest speaker will be Renee Kremm, owner of Windward Financial and a financial adviser. She will be giving a brief presentation and then answering questions. As a financial advisor, she offers recommendations on the best ways to protect your family way of life and prepare for major financial events like saving for college and retirement. Please RSVP so we can prepare enough seating and food.

We have no speaker planned but we will be meeting and breaking up into smaller groups to chat and get to know each other better. We love seeing all the new faces at meetings. It's an 80's-themed MoMs party because girls just wanna have fun! Wear an 80's-inspired accessory, hair-do, or dress in your own 80's style! Party will take place at Julie Shepard's house. Please RSVP on Big Tent for details.

We will be joined by guest speakers from Anne Arundel County Public School System and the Annapolis Police Department. We will split into smaller groups focused on special education and early intervention services or internet safety. Lynne Markowitz, Program Manager of the Infant and Toddlers Program, and Cindy Bouchard, Program Manager of preschool education services, will be meeting with us to discuss the free services available to families with concerns about their child(ren)’s development. They will be discussing how to determine if your child(ren) need services, how to make a referral, what services are available, and the rights you have in advocating for your child(ren). An officer from the Annapolis police department will also be at the meeting to discuss general internet safety for your children. We hope to discuss cyber bullying and ways to prevent exposure to inappropriate material and predators while our children access a wealth of useful information online.

Every year, we celebrate new AMOM members at the February meeting. This year's theme is: "Everything I ever needed to know, I learned from a Mom of Multiples: Support, Remembrance, Sisterhood." Happy New Year!!! 2015 has begun and with a new year comes new opportunities and new goals. The goal of this month’s meeting is to get back on the health track. We will have a local fitness “expert” coming in to give us some tips for all ages and physical fitness levels.

Kathy Manley grew up in Severna Park, played Field Hockey and Lacrosse at Loyola University, taught in AA County, and has been teaching group exercise for 28 years. She currently runs her own tutoring business and is an Advocare distributor. Kathy has two sons who attend Clemson and Penn State.

We hope to see you at the church where Kathy will be showing us exercises that we can do at home with and without our kids. She can answer any questions about fitness, Advocare, tutoring, or just general health questions. The club will be providing light appetizers and water. We’ll see you at 7pm in your comfy clothes!

The air is getting much colder so let the warmth of friendship and the spirit of the holiday season make the winter easier to bear. Monday, December 15th we are hosting an AMOM holiday party at 7pm. Let’s mix and mingle with some holiday jingle.

We will be having a white elephant gift exchange at the party. In case you didn’t know, white elephant “gifts” are traditionally considered extremely tacky and do not fit the tastes of the recipient. The white elephant “gift” should be previously owned, which means that you are re-gifting an unwanted item or trinket. If you can’t find something you would like to re-gift, you can purchase an inexpensive (no more than $5), tacky item just for the party. Once you find the perfect “gift” wrap it and bring it to the party for a secret gift exchange. Participation is encouraged (for fun) but not required.

The club will be providing turkey, ham, and water. The party will be BYOB and we ask you to bring a favorite appetizer, side-dish, or dessert to share. It’s hard to believe it’s already November. This month we will be meeting at the church a little earlier than normal to celebrate Thanksgiving with our families (6:00 p.m.). In the spirit of Thanksgiving, please bring your spouse/partner and children so that we can share a meal and complete a philanthropy project. This year, Jennifer Chasse has planned for us to be make bagged lunches for the homeless and decorate cups for seniors. The club will provide a turkey and water but the rest of the food will be pot luck. We ask that everyone bring a food item to share as follows:

• Triplets: salad/fruit

In addition to covering general club business, this meeting will be an open forum where new mothers of multiples can look towards more seasoned mothers of multiples for answers and advice.

Ahoy mates and mateys! Please join us for a pirates and princesses beach party! Fun for all age groups! This year's event will be at the community beach located in Schoolers Pond. Featuring a sandy beach area, a shaded picnic area, and a long pier. The kids can enjoy swimming in the shallow water and playing in the sand. Kayaks will be available for the older kids and adults to use. AMOM will be supplying hotdogs and fixin's, snack foods, water, and Popsicles. Please RSVP so we can plan accordingly.
